- What are the additional charges applicable post purchase?
1) The buyer is responsible for covering all post-sale expenses, encompassing packaging, insurance, shipping, and handling charges.
2) Shipping costs will be calculated based on relevant factors like weight and distance.
3) Lot winners have the option to manage the handling of their lots as they see fit. Nevertheless, it is essential to complete all necessary formalities and documentation before taking possession.
- What Duties and Taxes are applicable on purchase?
The Buyer is responsible for covering all relevant Duties & Taxes.
• For sales within India, GST will be applied at rates ranging from 3% to 28% depending on the specific categories.
• International sales are exempt from GST.
• In cases Import Duties apply, they will be explicitly mentioned in the item description section.
- What is the procedure in case items are damaged in transit?
Buyers are kindly urged to promptly notify Giftex in the event of any damage occurring during the shipping of goods/lots. Such notifications should be communicated within 2 days of taking possession of the goods/lots. Any grievances raised after this specified timeframe will not be considered valid under Giftex's liability and will be regarded as null and void claims.

- What charges will be borne by the seller?
Giftex deducts our margin along with agreed-upon expenses from the hammer price. An invoice for any restoration, reframing, stretching, or other preparatory steps undertaken to ready your property for final presentation will be sent to you, regardless of the auction's outcome. We believe in presenting your items in the best possible light.
- Does Giftex issue separate invoices for multiple items purchased in a single auction?
We generate individual invoices for each item you acquire, which is the standard procedure. Nevertheless, upon request, we can create a consolidated invoice.
- Is it possible for me to organise my own carrier or personally pick up my purchases?
You have the option to coordinate collection through an authorised agent or carriers of your choice by reaching out to our team. Additionally, if you wish to collect the items in person, please inform our team in advance.
Please be made aware that Giftex assumes no responsibility for the items once they have been handed over to the designated carrier or buyer
- Is it possible for a third party to make payment on my behalf?
Currently, we do not accept payments from third parties acting on behalf of the winning bidder.
